About

Gold Coast City Brass Band is a community based, not for profit, organisation that has proudly served the Gold Coast since 1902.

We play a variety of brass band music (both modern and traditional) for the enjoyment of both the players and audience.
We strive for the band, and our individual members, to improve musically, whilst still having fun in a relaxed atmosphere.

We perform at events such as Australia Day Citizenship Awards, Anzac Day Parades, the Gold Coast Moncrief Community Awards, and many other community events including a variety of concerts, workshops and, of course, community Christmas Carols.

Our Musical Director is Danny Ellem
Danny has extensive experience teaching music and performing with bands and orchestras.

We observe all the requirements of the Child Safety Commission regarding Blue Cards and we have Public Liability insurance. We are a members of the Queensland Band Association.

We welcome new members of all ages, young players can begin with our development band and more experienced musicians can come into our senior band.

Why not send us an email then come along for a few weeks to see if you enjoy it?

If you are a brass player, or percussionist, you are invited to join our band to enjoy weekly rehearsals, performances and comradeship.

  • If you have some experience come along and get ‘back in tune’.
  • If you are a competent musician come and help us develop the band musically.
If you are a student we would like you (and maybe your friends) to get involved.
  • It is a friendly atmosphere and people of all ages and playing abilities are welcome.
  • Why not send us an email then come along for a few weeks to see if you enjoy it?
  • We have a modest annual membership fee and instrument hire is available at extremely reasonable rates.

If you do decide to join, all we ask is that members are courteous, and attend most practices and performances.
